Code of Ethics for Learners

YogaPeace Academy is founded on the principles of yoga, discipline, respect, and self-awareness. This Code of Ethics is intended to guide learners in maintaining a healthy, respectful, and sincere learning environment.

By enrolling in any course at YogaPeace Academy, every learner agrees to follow this Code of Ethics.

1. Respect for Yoga & Learning Tradition

Learners shall:

  • Approach yoga as a discipline of body, mind, and awareness, not merely as physical exercise
  • Respect the traditional knowledge and teachings shared by the instructors
  • Maintain sincerity, humility, and openness in learning

Yoga is a lifelong sādhanā, not a casual activity.

2. Respectful Conduct

Learners are expected to:

  • Communicate politely with teachers, staff, and fellow learners
  • Maintain dignity in discussions, comments, and community forums
  • Avoid offensive, aggressive, or disrespectful language

Any form of harassment, discrimination, or abuse is strictly prohibited.

3. Personal Responsibility & Safety

Each learner is responsible for:

  • Practicing within their physical and mental limits
  • Informing themselves about medical conditions before practice
  • Avoiding forceful or competitive practice

YogaPeace Academy is not responsible for injuries arising from unsafe practice or ignoring guidance.

4. Integrity in Learning

Learners shall:

  • Complete courses, assessments, and quizzes honestly
  • Avoid impersonation or allowing others to access their account
  • Refrain from any form of misrepresentation in certification or participation

Integrity is the foundation of true learning.

5. Use of Learning Content

Learners must:

  • Use course content strictly for personal learning
  • Not record, download, copy, distribute, or share content without permission
  • Respect the intellectual property of YogaPeace Academy and its instructors

Unauthorized use may result in immediate termination.

6. Digital Discipline

Learners shall:

  • Use a single account for personal access only
  • Not attempt to bypass platform security or access restrictions
  • Maintain responsible behavior in live classes, chats, and forums

Online learning demands the same discipline as a physical classroom.

7. Commitment & Regularity

Learners are encouraged to:

  • Follow the course structure sincerely
  • Maintain regular practice as advised
  • Complete courses with dedication and patience

Yoga rewards consistency more than speed.

8. Community Harmony

Learners must:

  • Support a peaceful and inclusive learning environment
  • Respect diverse backgrounds, beliefs, and experiences
  • Avoid debates that disturb harmony or spiritual focus

YogaPeace Academy is a space for growth, not conflict.

9. Compliance with Policies

Learners agree to comply with:

  • Terms & Conditions
  • Privacy Policy
  • Refund & Cancellation Policy
  • Any additional guidelines issued by YogaPeace Academy

Violation of policies may lead to suspension or termination without refund.

10. Disciplinary Action

YogaPeace Academy reserves the right to:

  • Warn, suspend, or terminate learner access for ethical violations
  • Revoke certificates issued through unethical means
  • Take necessary action to protect the learning community

Decisions of the Academy in such matters shall be final.

11. Acceptance of Code

By enrolling in any course, the learner acknowledges that:

  • They have read and understood this Code of Ethics
  • They agree to follow it in letter and spirit
